So, when I found out that he was at the Free Library of Philadelphia, Central Branch, promoting his book, "63 Documents, The Government Doesn't want you to Read," I knew I had to go check him out. Ventura, who is also the former Independent governor of Minnesota, has never been short of interesting, colorful and yet entertaining commentary in regards to members on both sides of the political spectrum. Plus, it was the day after the Showdown on the Hill, where the ReThugs and Pussicrats pretended to wrangle over "tough choices," in hopes of avoiding a "government showdown" (seriously, what the fuck was that about) and I needed to let off some steam.
Anyway, Jesse didn't disappoint. And "As a former Navy Seal" (seriously, he must have said that at least five times during the discussion), he talked about everything under the sun including:
- the truth behind 9/11,
- The 16 million documents, which the government doesn't want us to read
- America's growing plutocracy and how the U.S. is following the blueprint of Rome
- The Afghan war & the connection to Lithium.
- Who was really behind the assassination of JFK.
And that was only in 40 minutes. Ventura also answered (sorta) speculation about a possible run for president in 2012. He said that the only way he would consider running is if he could persuade Ron Paul to leave the Republican party and run as his mate. Now, who would be the candidate for president and who would be the candidate for vice-president? Well that would have to be settled in the ring.
Below is some audio I recorded from the discussion.
